Despite the opposition of tens of thousands of people the US Fish & Wildlife Service just opened the door to the slaughter of hundreds of wolves in the Greater Yellowstone and Northern Rockies region - even while they remain protected under the Endangered Species Act. The "10j" rule change allows officials to start killing wolves as soon as March! Idaho has proposed killing roughly 700 wolves (85%), Wyoming proposes killing 100 wolves.
