WOLF KILLERS

If you talk to the animals they will talk with you
and you will know each other.
If you do not talk to them you will not know them,
and what you do not know you will fear.
What one fears one destroys.

~ Chief Dan George

This page was created not to shock or upset anyone... but to educate those that do not know about the situation the wild life is in today. Animals are being hunted and killed.. not just for food.. but also for money and skins. Some of the animals being hunted are on the Endangered Species list!!!!

I hope to educate the public so we can help fight to save these beautiful animals and to stop the hunters in this so called "sport" of theirs.

Just as the hunter looks at the head of the bear mounted on the wall and takes satisfaction in having killed it, so the organized murderer looks at a necklace hanging in his closet and keeps alive the excitement of his crime. ~Robert K. Ressler / Whoever Fights Monsters

TRAP: Steel traps are devices that when triggered cause a set of strong metal jaws to spring around an animal's foot and hold it firmly. Steel traps have been used on wolves for decades and are still utilized today by individual trappers. The metal jaws tend to break the bones of the animal caught in them, some animals will try to chew their limbs off to freedom.

SNARING: These are made of wire or cable set in a sliding loop and hung along wolf trails. The wolf accidentally sticks his neck through the snare and chokes itself.

AERIAL HUNTING: One of the techniques for killing large numbers of wolves involves the use of either fixed-wing aircraft or helicopters. You chase the animal from the plane or helicopter until the wolf is exhausted.. then they shoot it. Large numbers of wolves can be wiped out of a region in just a few weeks of the winter months. Those who hunt for sport seem to like to exert as little energy in killing as possible.

POISONING: Tainting a carcass with poison and leaving it in the wild for animals to eat and get sick and die.

BOUNTIES: Money or other valuable tender, such as livestock, paid for the killing of animals, is known as a bounty. Bounties have been paid for wolves for at least 2700 years, and in the United States they were begun as early as 1630, in Massachusetts. Bounties are usually paid by federal, state, or local governments, but they have also been offered by various special-interest groups such as livestock organizations. The bounty system is an appalling footnote on the greed of society.

This is not a complete list of weapons... some use cross bows, high powered rifles.... etc...
Man will not kill an animal with what he was born with... one on one... eye to eye... with no weapons. This is unfair to the animal that is being murdered! It is unfair and mean to kill these beautiful creatures.

Yes, not all men hunt for sport or money... some hunt to feed their own families. If you have money to pay to kill a creature, then you have money to raise your own beef, chicken or pork for food. Killing an animal for pleasure is just disgusting and sad. Remember.. when you kill a creature... be aware of the creatures loss to the enviornment, and their own animal family.
